About Willemijn's Work
Willemijn de Iongh has a background in Cultural Anthropology with a focus on natural resource management and sustainable agriculture. Field research included human-wildlife conflicts in Amboseli National Park in Kenya and redistribution of small-scale fishing rights in Kalk Bay, South Africa. After that, she worked at Oxfam Novib to advocate with businesses, investors, governments, and (local) NGOs for a more sustainable food system and promote alternative business models.
At Commonland, Willemijn is the lynchpin connecting knowledge and research within Commonland's Foundation, Projects, Partners and our networks. As such, she is your one-stop-shop for applied learning around landscape restoration approaches.
