About Vong's Work
Vong Nanhthavong is a Senior Research Scientist at the Centre for Development and Environment, University of Bern. His research focuses on the dynamics of land acquisitions in the agricultural, extractive, energy, and infrastructure sectors and their impacts on resource use, rural livelihoods, agrarian change, energy transitions, and socio-ecological systems. Since 2015, he has contributed to advancing science–policy engagement on these issues in Laos.
