Vincenza Ferrara

I am a small- scale organic farmer in Sicily and my scientific interests are related to transdisciplinary research co-design and knowledge co-creation with local communities for the investigation of social- ecological systems long term dynamics, with a particular attention to biocultural refugia and agro-systems, and the implementation of such knowledge for the design of sustainable management practices. I am also a researcher in Historical Ecology at the Department of Archaeology, Ancient History and Conservation (Uppsala University, Sweden) and at the Department of Human Geography (Stockholm University, Sweden).
