Ting Wang

Ting Wang, a Postdoctoral Researcher at Hokkaido University in Japan, is deeply committed to addressing the environmental impacts induced by the increasing recreational activities in mountainous national parks. Her recent research endeavors focus on monitoring land degradation issues at campsites and trekking trails using advanced 3D mapping techniques, including UAV mapping, pole-photogrammetry, and Lidar scanning. Additionally, she is passionate about monitoring and managing visitor behavior and experiences, as well as initiating participatory trail management programs for national parks. Her research aims to leverage science-based approaches to enhance the efficient and sustainable management of natural resources within mountainous protected areas. Her primary study sites include the Daisetsuzan National Park in Japan, Sagarmatha National Park in Nepal, and Taroko National Park in Taiwan.
