Dr. Sudhakar Reddy Chintala is Scientist-SG and Head of Forest Biodiversity and Ecology Division, National Earth Observation/Remote Sensing Centre, Indian Space Research Organisation, Hyderabad, Telangana.
He received his M.Sc. in Botany from Osmania University and Ph.D. in Botany from Kakatiya University.
He has been consistently ranked in the World's Top 2% of Scientists for the last four years by Stanford University and Elsevier.
He ranked 13 among best scientists of India in Ecology and Evolution by Research.com.
He is known for his significant contributions in Earth Observation/Remote Sensing and GIS applications in forestry, biodiversity, and ecology. He has made contributions to the Flora of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.
He has authored 330 research papers that have been published in peer-reviewed journals.
