Stephanie Mansourian

I am a scientist with over 20 years of experience in environmental conservation and development. In 2004 I set up the consultancy Mansourian.org and have carried out a vast range of interesting consultancies for diverse clients including, UN organisations (FAO, UNEP, UNECE), WWF, IUCN, the CBD, the Ramsar Convention, the MAVA Foundation and IUFRO (see: www.mansourian.org).

I am particularly interested in exploring governance challenges that impact on large scale forest restoration. I co-chair a Restoration Task Force within the IUCN-World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA); am on the Science and Policy Committee of the Society for Ecological Restoration, and am an external scientific collaboration with the University of Lausanne and an associate researcher with the University of Geneva.
