About Stefano's Work
Mr. Crema is a geographer and an environmental scientist whose interests focus on the development and application of analytical spatial tools for landuse change modeling, conservation development, climate adaptation and mitigation (including REDD), ecosystem services, earth system science and Earth Observation/Remote Sensing. He leads and oversees Clark Labs’ work in the applications research area where he develops and maintains partnerships with major user organizations. He works closely with Conservation International, IMAZON, Wildlife Conservation Society, and The Nature Conservancy tailoring the development of customized software solutions, training and research. Mr. Crema manages the code for the IDRISI GIS and Earth Observation/Remote Sensing software and is part of its programming team. He holds degrees in environmental science and cultural anthropology from Trent University, Canada (B.Sc.) and in geographic information science and international development from Clark university (M.A).
