About Sophea's Work
Sophea Tim is a climate resilience and sustainable development practitioner currently based in Australia. He holds a Master of Climate Change and a Graduate Diploma in Environment and Development from the Australian National University, as well as a Master of Science in Natural Resource Management and Rural Development from the Royal University of Agriculture (RUA), Cambodia. With over a decade of experience across academia, government, international development, and the United Nations system, his work has focused on climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, early warning systems, sustainable land management, natural resource management, and community resilience. Sophea has contributed to multidisciplinary initiatives spanning environmental sustainability, climate-smart agriculture, ecosystem management, stakeholder engagement, and capacity development. He is particularly interested in the interactions between land systems, climate risks, and sustainable development, and in strengthening evidence-based approaches to support resilient landscapes and communities.
