About Sophea's Work
Mr. Sophea is currently a Deputy Director of the Centre for Agricultural and Environmental Studies (CAES), and a lecturer for Principle of Ecology for Natural Resource Management at Graduate School of the Royal University of Agriculture (RUA) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. He also teaches a course of Climate Change for Undergraduate Degree. Sophea graduated a Graduate Diploma of Environment and Development and a Master of Climate Change from the Australian National University, Australia in 2014 and 2015 respectively; and a Master of Science in Natural Resource Management and Rural Development at RUA in 2013. Sophea has experienced in multidisciplines associated with environmental sustainability including climate change, Sustainable Land Management, ecology, climate-smart agriculture, agricultural extension and environmental education at the grass root and university levels. He is now managing a project for Scaling-up Sustainable Land Management (SLM) practices by , Smallholder farmers: working with agricultural extension services to identify, assess and disseminate SLM practices in Cambodia, with the Centre for Development and Environment (CDE), University of Bern, under the framework of WOCAT-World Overview of Conservation Approaches and Technologies for SLM.
