About Sergio Javier's Work

As a professional, I have primarily developed my career in research within the fields of ecology and botany. I completed a PhD on the ecology of lianas and epiphytes in the Yungas (2014-2019), followed by a postdoctoral fellowship focused on the demography and dynamics of Yungas forests (2019-2022). Currently, I am a member of the CONICET Researcher Career with the project "Sustainability of tree diversity in new forests of the Lules River Basin (Tucumán, Argentina)" at the Institute of Regional (subnational) Ecology. I am also a Teaching Assistant for Vegetal Diversity III at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and IML at the National University of Tucumán. I have published scientific articles on the diversity, dynamics, and demography of plant communities in urban and natural forests. Throughout my career, I have gained experience in vegetation surveys and long-term monitoring, biodiversity sample collection, fieldwork, ecological study design, and data management and analysis.
