Hi, I'm Satyam Saxena, an Environmental Economist with a 5+ year track record of driving sustainability through data and research.
Education: My journey began with a B. Com degree from the University of Delhi, followed by an M.A. in Economics specializing in Environment and Natural Resources Management. I later honed my skills at the University of Minnesota in Agriculture Spatial Economics Data Management and Analysis.
Tech Skills: I'm proficient in R and Excel, wielding data as a powerful tool. My toolkit also includes Survey CTO and STATA, with a budding interest in GAMS.
Passion: My heart lies in sustainable solutions. Currently, as a Spatial Economics Researcher at CIMMYT, I lead drought impact surveys, analyze agricultural data, and develop innovative methodologies. My expertise lies in food systems economics, climate change, and sustainable agriculture.
Research Drive: Research fuels my commitment. I've contributed to impactful research papers, policy briefs, and reports, collaborating with esteemed institutions, including the United Nations Sustainable Development Solution Network.
Effective Communication: Beyond data, I excel in communication. Engaging stakeholders, presenting at conferences, and networking are my strong suits. I joined the Sustainable Transition Research Network to explore global sustainability work.
