About Ronju's Work

Ronju Ahammad is interested in social-ecological science and interdisciplinary research that bridges disciplinary boundaries to address local and global challenges related to the sustainable use of natural resources, biodiversity conservation, and climate change. Among others, Ronju's works examined the landscape-scale ecosystem services and conservation outcomes of forest and agricultural land-use intensification in low-income countries; Indigenous peoples' biocultural framework of intertweaving traditional ecological knowledge and science for ecological monitoring in Australia; and socio-cultural and economic indicators assessment in forest sectors of Sweden to evaluate sustainable forestry in Sweden.
