About Romina's Work
My name is Romina, I have a Licenciature in Biology at the Universidad Nacional de Asunción, Paraguay and a Master in Ecology at the Universidade de Brasilia, Brazil. My passions are birds and ecology. I consider myself as a landscape ecologist. I am currently doing my PhD in Ecology at the University of Brasilia in Brazil, my work focus on answering questions about how bird are responding to the changing landscape of Paraguayan Chaco. About my background, I worked at the NGO Guyra Paraguay for three years, first as a Biologist field and then as a Coordinator at the Landscape Program. I collaborated with projects at the Universidad Nacional de Asunción and the National Museum of Natural History of Paraguay, leading bird’s surveys. I worked as a consultant of the United Nations of Development Program (UNDP) in two projects, one at the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development of Paraguay and at the Minister of Education, this last project was possible because I was involved in the education area, I teached at the Universidad del Norte in Paraguay.
