About Roberto's Work
Roberto Interdonato is a Senior Research Scientist at Cirad, UMR TETIS, Montpellier, France. He is the leader of the IAT team (AI and Remote Sensing). He is also part of the INRIA team-project EVERGREEN (Earth observation and machine learning for agro-environmental challenges).
He was previously a post-doc researcher at University of La Rochelle (France), Uppsala University (Sweden) and at University of Calabria (Italy), where he received his Ph.D. in computer engineering in 2015 on the topic ``Novel Ranking Problems in Information Networks''.
He obtained his HDR (Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches - Authorization to Conduct Research) from University of Montpellier in 2023 on the topic "Data Science and Network Analysis for Food Security and Agricultural Monitoring".
His research interests include the design of data science and artificial intelligence techniques for the analysis of complex networks and the extraction of information from remote sensing data. His thematic interests mainly concern the characterization of tropical agricultural landscapes, the production of spatial information for food security and the analysis of the land trade market.
On these topics he has led research projects, coauthored journal articles and conference papers, organized workshops and international conferences, presented tutorials and developed practical software tools.
