Rieley Auger

Rieley Auger is a socioecological research scientist with a passion for building resilient, inclusive communities through science and program management. She currently serves as Faculty Specialist for the Global Land Programme International Program Office at the University of Maryland's Department of Geographical Sciences, where she manages community programming for an international network of over 3,000 land system scientists, leads fundraising efforts, and coordinates major global science convenings.

Prior to this role, Rieley spent over two years with Eden Reforestation Projects, where she led global restoration teams, built environmental monitoring systems across ten countries, and developed geospatial suitability models to guide reforestation efforts across hundreds of thousands of hectares in Mozambique. Her work has spanned East Africa, Madagascar, Central and South America, and Asia.

Rieley holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of Maryland and is a Certified Community Manager through the Center for Scientific Collaboration and Community Engagement.
