About Ranjana's Work
Currently working in Colombo University as a Professor and Head- Department of Environmental Technology. I was graduated in Hydrogeology in MSc and PhD from Moscow State Geological Prospecting Academy, Russia. I was Participate in more than 70 International conferences in Sri Lanka and abroad. Published more than 100 International and local Journal publications. Received the number of best presenter award in the international conferences including Gold medal for best presenter. Conducting lectures in 3 leading Sri Lankan universities as a visiting academic. Involve with the many disaster management studies, Climate change studies, groundwater quality and water management research studies. Supervising the local and International postgraduate students leading to MSc and PhD. Coordinator of the Disaster risk management certificate course under the University of Colombo. Currently I am engage Chief Editor of the Sri Lanka Association of Geographers. Every year 3 issues we are publishing Geography Journal for university students and for teachers two languages (Sinhala and Tamil).
