About Prisca's Work
Prisca is a PhD student in Prof. Rachael Garrett’s group. Her research background is in biodiversity conservation and sustainable management of agroecosystems. After a BSc in Biological Sciences, she gained practical experience in forest ecosystem functioning and sustainable management at the Lamto Reserve Research Institute. Valuing interdisciplinary research that integrates both ecological sustainability and livelihood improvement, Prisca took an MSc in Science-Policy Interface for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (Felix Houphouet Boigny University, Cote d’Ivoire) and a student exchange program (Goethe University, Frankfurt, Germany) focusing on land governance, agroecosystems and pollination services. This led Prisca to start her doctoral studies at the Environmental Policy Lab at ETH Zurich and then at the Conservation Research Institute (University of Cambridge), where she focuses on understanding under which conditions supply chain sustainability initiatives can be effective and equitable in the cocoa sector of Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana.
