About Penny's Work
Penny Mograbi is the SEOSAW Project Scientist based at the University of Edinburgh’s SEOSAW office. As a researcher, she is interested in the ecology of African savannas and the response of vegetation communities to global change. Previously, she’s explored structural change in woody vegetation in fuelwood-harvested communal rangelands, and the effects of small-scale agricultural dynamics on social-ecological systems. She is also an IPBES global fellow and lead author on the Sustainable Use of Wild Species assessment.
