About PEDRO's Work

Pedro has a PhD in Ecology and Environment and a degree in Environmental Sciences from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and is currently a visiting researcher at the University of Edinburgh (UK). He is currently working in the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant from the European Commission called “ADAFARM”: Small scale farmers’ sustainable adaptation strategies to climate change based on ecosystem services, to investigate adaptation to climate change of small farmers in Mozambique using a social-ecological frame. Previous researches he has been involved are European project NAIAD on adaptation to climate change using nature based solution; the consequences deforestation has on the well-being of the rural population in Mozambique (ACES project); on the valuation and mapping of ecosystem services (Evaluation of the Millennium Ecosystems of Spain and Cañada Real Conquense (central Spain)); and in the management of groundwater in the Mancha Occidental aquifer (Guadiana River Basin, central Spain).
