Pedro Jaureguiberry

I am an Assistant Researcher working at the Instituto Multidisciplinario de Biología Vegetal (CONICET-Universidad Nacional de Córdoba). Although my main focus of research is fire ecology at the community level, the broader focus of our research group is exploring the role of functional diversity in the provision of ecosystem services in plant communities under different past and present land use situations, and the perception of socio-ecological processes from the perspective of different stakeholders in the seasonally dry forests of the Chaco region of central-western Argentina.

I am also currently a selected Fellow of the Fellowship Programme of the Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), participating in the elaboration of the Global Assessment on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (http://www.ipbes.net/work-programme/global-assessment).
