Pasquale Pazienza

Pasquale Pazienza attained his first degree in Economics and Commerce from the University of Bari (Italy). At postgraduate level, he gained his MSc in Environmental Economics from the University of York (UK) and a PhD in Policies for Territorial Sustainable Development from the University of Bari (Italy). He also gained a PhD in Economics from the University of Durham (UK). At present, he is full professor of economic policy at Department of Social Sciences of the University of Foggia (Italy) where he also teaches Economic and Policies of the European Union and carries out his research activity in the following areas of interest: the environmental impact of investment and globalisation, energy policy, sustainable local development as related to tourism and agriculture. He also teaches other economic courses abroad in other European universities. He has been a member of various European and international research teams. In addition to his academic commitments, he has previously worked as a consultant for various local socio-economic development plans in southern Italy. In addition, He has also held significant institutional roles in local government bodies, such as the Province of Foggia and the Gargano National Park Authority.
