About Oskar's Work
Oskar Englund is Associate Professor in Environmental Science/Spatial Analysis. His research is primarily centered around sustainability issues concerning biomass production and land use, in the context where humanity requires increasing resources from a planet with a limited surface. A notable focus has been on the production and use of biomass for bioenergy, which interlinks the food, forest and energy sectors. He primarily works with spatial analysis and Simulation Modelling (ABM/Predictive/Economic modelling), but his research is notoriously interdisciplinary and often closely linked to sustainability governance.
