About Oluwatobi's Work
Dr OLANIYI is a lecturer at the Federal University of Technology in Akure, Nigeria, in the Department of Ecotourism and Wildlife Management. He holds a PhD in Ecotourism Management and has a background in Wildlife Management. In addition, he holds postgraduate certifications in Earth Observation/Remote Sensing/geographic information systems from the University of Twente in the Netherlands and the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. He is a Third World Academy of Science/Universiti Putra Malaysia Postdoctoral Fellow, Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF) Prince Bernhard and A.G. Leventis Foundation Scholar. His research interests include socio-ecological adaptive methods, Earth Observation/Remote Sensing, and GIS technology for sustainable planning and development of protected areas and fragile landscapes influenced by climate change and local communities.
