About Olujumoke's Work

Olujumoke Ogunrayi is a climate scientist and policy practitioner specializing in land–coastal systems governance, socio-economic vulnerability, and climate change adaptation. She has over 18 years of public service experience with the Ondo State Ministry of Environment, Nigeria, where she rose to Deputy Director, Climate Change and Environmental Conservation, leading state-level climate policy coordination and cross-sectoral environmental governance. She holds an M.Tech. in Meteorology from the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Management from TU Dresden, Germany. She is completing her Ph.D. in Integrated Coastal Zone Management at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, where her research examines socio-economic vulnerability and land-use dynamics in coastal communities. Her work bridges climate science, land-use change, coastal management, and policy implementation, with interests in climate-smart marine spatial planning, blue economy governance, and sustainable land–sea interactions in Africa.
