Introduction: Akin Johnson has a Geography background in his undergraduates and Biogeography for his Master’s degree. He carried out research in Fire Ecology. He has a good knowledge of Ecological studies and Biodiversity Conservation in practice as a research scientist of a decade in the Nigeria only and foremost Forestry Research Institute. Hence, for his Master’s degree, he did a research in Olokemeji Forest Reserve Fire experimental plot on the effects of fire on tree species diversity and regeneration potentials. While making use of different Fire Regimes, Shannon-Wiener diversity index, Margalef’s index of species richness, and Simpson concentration index.

He has several publications to his credit in the Journal and has attended a number of local and international conferences where he also presented papers.
