About Nidhi's Work
I have completed my Ph.D. from Department of Botany, Kumaun University; Nainital (India) in the field of Botany with Specialization of forest ecology and my doctoral thesis is entitled as "Species structure, productivity and carbon sequestration in government and community managed forests in Kumaun of Uttarakhand". My thesis work focused upon the forest biomass, productivity and carbon sequestration with climate change prospective and mainly on the issues of community-related forest management and their interaction with forests in temperate forest of Uttarakhand. Currently, I am working as a project assistant (contractual) in "National Mission on Himalayan Studies" at Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Govt. of India. My academic training and research experience in forest structure, ecosystem management and biodiversity prepare me to be a suitable candidate in the field of Environment.
