About Nicolas's Work
My main interest as a researcher is about social change in agricultural and food systems. I use Simulation Modelling (ABM/Predictive/Economic modelling) and social sciences tools to get insight on this matter. I've studied different approach of social change through fairtrade and organic certification schemes. My PhD was about the agroecological transition towards landscape approach to pest control. I am actually researching about adaptation pathways to climate change in French and Swiss Alps in the MtnPaths project. I am also studying vegetarian transitions in the VITAMIN project. My main Simulation Modelling (ABM/Predictive/Economic modelling) tools are Agent-Based Simulation Modelling (ABM/Predictive/Economic modelling) (NetLogo, Cormas) and Bayesian Network (Netica). I am a member of the ComMod community developping and teaching the use of games and simulation to foster social learning in natural ressource management.
