About Nametso's Work

I am a PhD candidate at Stellenbosch University in South Africa, fully funded by USAID, through the Resilient waters project. I have a Degree of Master of Environmental Science (MSc) from the University of Botswana as a Barclays F.G Mogae scholarship achiever, and a Degree of Bachelor of Arts (Humanities) in Environmental Science and Sociology. I work as a Research Fellow in Land Use planning and Policy at the Okavango Research Institute in the University of Botswana. I am also a creative writer, an Author (Stories from the Sun Anthology) and a spoken word poet. My research interests are waste management, Land use policy and planning, natural resource management and governance. My recent work and publications have explored natural resource management, hazardous waste management and land policy in the Okavango delta, Botswana.
