About Mohammad's Work

My work is specific to the utilizing of novel Earth Observation/Remote Sensing and GIS techniques through data acquisition, classification applications, modeling, and geostatistical analysis of geographic features. Such work is driven by questions surrounding the ecology of the human-dominated landscape and the efficacy of our current management approaches. My research aims to develop effective and efficient methods of providing spatial information and evidence to the policymakers and natural resource managers to support data-driven decision making and become a better steward of healthy, sustainable ecosystem services, and human well-being in a landscape.
