About Miguel Angel's Work

I’m a doctoral student at Humboldt University Berlin, specifically in the Agricultural and Food Policy Group. My doctoral research addresses the institutional side of agricultural frontiers in the Peruvian Amazon. This region has also been the main focus of diverse research teams I have participated in for almost ten years. My research interests relate to concepts like institutional analysis, institutional economics, agricultural policy, social-ecological systems, and forest conservation. I’m also an auxiliary professor at Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina’s Economics and Planning Academic Department in Lima, Peru.
