About Marie's Work

I’m a geographer researching land and land use as a lens to study humans and the environment, politics and ontologies. My doctoral research at Humboldt University Berlin in Germany focused on better integrating social complexity, people and land uses into large-scale conservation planning in the South American Chaco and Chiquitano Forests. Motivated by my passion for both science and political change, I’m intrigued by the politics and ethics of data, maps and models.
