About María José's Work

I am an applied ecologist with extensive experience in the research area of Earth Systems Science, working with social-ecological systems in Latin America. I have more than ten years of experience performing landscape analyses, spatial modeling, and conducting multi-scale and participatory research to better understand human activities and their impacts on landscapes, ecosystems, and species. Information that has been used to identify drivers of change and support landscape planning strategies and on-the-ground activities (e.g., best practices) to avoid, reduce, and minimize impacts on biodiversity and ecosystem services.
I am a hard-working person who can work remotely and independently. I have a strong teamwork culture. I love dogs, playing tennis, and basketball.
