About Maria's Work

María Concepción Díaz currently works for Oxfam in the Caribbean where she organizes and leads multisectoral transdisciplinary teams to educate and promote policies in gender equality and climate change mitigation. She is a member of the Steering Committee of the Oxfam Gender Resource Network at an agency scale to ensure gender mainstreaming in the budgetary and programmatic goals. She leads and coaches teams and partners in Puerto Rico to collaborate and convene across governments, diverse sectors and philanthropic partners with the aim of sharing lessons learned and increasing capacity across the region. She has contributed to the design and formulation of the Atlantic and Caribbean Disaster Center (ADCD) which is in a formulation stage. She has also been active at the crossroads of finance and climate, to ensure funding models include diverse genders in the rising solar economy and work force development field.
