About Marcelo's Work
Marcelo Rezende is a Land Monitoring Specialist at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), working with innovative applications for forest and land monitoring. He supports the development of the Open Foris tools, a free and open suit developed by the FAO that allows countries to easily access, collect and analyse data to better understand their territory and natural resources. Marcelo has supported developing countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America, training them in the Open Foris tools that helps them meet their reporting requirements to different international agreements such as the NDCs, the LDN process and their national greenhouse gas inventories.
