Lucia Benavides

Lucia is a landscape architect with Master's Degrees in Natural Resource Management and Tropical Forestry, as well as professional training in arboriculture and orchard maintenance. She has ten years of experience in applied research on management of natural resources and nature restoration, including wastewater, agricultural soils, nature-based solutions (particularly EbA), sustainable landscape design, river restoration agroforestry and tropical forestry. Work experience in several Latin American countries as well as in East and West Africa, for institutions like the United Nations University, the Berlin-based Thinktank TMG Research and the German Development Cooperation Agency (GIZ) and NABU, the largest german environmental NGO.
