About Lorenzo's Work
I am a Researcher at the Italian Council for Agricultural Research and Economics (CREA). My interests lie in geospatial data science and open-source software development, with a focus on leveraging big geospatial data and cloud computing to study environmental changes. I hold a Master's degree in Environment and Forest Conservation and Restoration from the University of Tuscia and a Master of Advanced Studies in GIScience and UAV from the University of Padova. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Ecosystem Biology at Sapienza University of Rome, where I explore the phenological sensitivity of vegetation to photoperiod and the effects of artificial light at night, combining satellite-based remote sensing, process-based modeling, and multivariate statistical approaches across natural and urban environments.
