About Lin's Work
I am Lin Zhou (周琳). I recently completed my Ph.D. in the School of Engineering and Design, Technical University of Munich, Germany. I was a visiting scholar at Cambridge Centre for Environment, Energy and Natural Resource Governance (C-EENRG), University of Cambridge, United Kingdom for one year. I got a M.Sc. degree at Peking University, China. My research interests include Computational Sociology, Public Policy, Multi-stakeholder Interest Game, Community Planning, Megaregion and City Network, and Spatial Equity. My doctoral thesis focuses on how stakeholders collectively treat and manage the land in land management practice, and explores voluntary collective action to develop more effective policies to avoid inequality and informality. On the technical front, I specializes in the technical application of sociological insights to land management. With a publication record of 16 peer-reviewed articles, 4 manuscripts in the second round of revision, 4 with the editor, and 3 paper drafts, my academic journey in Land Management and Geospatial Science has been marked by a dedication to advancing the understanding of land marketization, urbanization, and complex city networks. I am currently interested in Social Computing-driven land policy research, which employs webometrics and text mining for data analysis and information extraction. I have also presented at over a dozen peer-reviewed conferences, served as a peer reviewer for several academic journals, and am a member of multiple professional and scholarly affiliations. In addition, my commitment to academic excellence and research has been recognized through numerous prestigious awards, including being named among the Top Ten Students of my university, an honor bestowed on only the top 0.1%, and receiving the National Scholarship, awarded to the top 0.3%. I enjoy swimming, road trips, and any activities related to logical mystery and deduction.
