About Leyli's Work

I'm leyli, 41-year-old.

I'm a Ph.D. in Animal Biosystematics. I'm a biology teacher. I have taught biology in high school since 1998. Also, I have experience in teaching 'the ways of science teaching' at university.

My projects have focused on the identification of species based on morphology, anatomy, and genetics. I have studied the fauna of chrysisid wasps of Iran in 2013 and reported 25 species for the first time from Iran. Therefore, I'm familiar with the ways of studying the biodiversity of insects. My paper was published in the Zootaxa journal.
Additionally, I have searched the taxonomic status of clupeid fishes of Iran's main water bodies from 2015 to 2020 based on morphometric, morphological, and molecular approaches that will be useful for fishery resources management. I have compared the microstructures of scales, otoliths, and skeleton of fishes for identification of them. Also, I was at Shanghai Ocean University for 75 days at 2018 and I did gene capture in professor Chenhong Li's laboratory for getting molecular evidence for reconstruction of the evolutionary relationship between them, and I'm preparing the manuscript of results for publishing. Prof. Hamid Reza Esmaeili, from Shiraz University, was my supervisor at Ph.D. and we have published 5 papers in our major field.
I have experience in using SPSS, and Excel for database development. I can apply Photoshop, Corel, Image J, and other software for preparing data. I have enough experience in using Mega, Fig tree, Bio edit, RAxML, ... for analyzing molecular data.
I have excellent interpersonal, communications, organizational, and presentation skills.
Based on my research background I'm able to employ different methods for studying biodiversity in ecosystems. I'm interested in finding solutions for losing biodiversity.
