About Laura Vang's Work

I am interested in understanding and seeking solutions to the global challenge of feeding the world while conserving nature at the same time. I have pursued this research field in a number of different contexts and countries, particularly in Africa. I received my Ph.D. in 2013 from the Department of Geosciences and Natural Resource Management, University of Copenhagen and since then have held positions at the University of Michigan and University of British Columbia. I currently lead an ERC consolidator grant aiming to uncover the potential synergies and trade-offs of forgotten foods for people’s nutrition, poverty alleviation, and biodiversity.
