Kefelegn Getahun

My name is Kefelegn Getahun CHERINET, a scientist in Geospatial Science and Land Use Systems with emphasis on Forest Cover Dynamics in the framework of urban-rural interactions.  I investigate the human –environment interactions, causes and consequences on the forest ecosystem. Furthermore,   I am actively engaged in multidisciplinary research activities on themes related to environment, land use systems, Food Security/Sovereignty and climate change, agriculture, and public health at large.  I am the focal person of the Geospatial – Universities Forum by representing Jimma University.
