Julia Pongratz

Julia Pongratz is Professor of Physical Geography and Land Use Systems at the Department of Geography, LMU Munich, Germany. She investigates the interactions of humans, climate, and land use from local to global scale integrating models and Earth observations. She is the spokesperson of the interdisciplinary funding measure on Carbon Dioxide Removal CDRterra, core team member of the Global Carbon Project, contributor to the IPCC's Assessment Reports, and member of the German Council of Experts on Climate Change and the Scientific Advisory Board for Nature-based Climate Action.
