Bachelor in Geography (UFBA, Brazil), Specialization in Environmental Management (UCSAL), Master in Geochemistry and Environment (UFBA) and Ph.D. in Geography (Fluminense Federal University, UFF-RJ and UC- University of Coimbra, Portugal). He was Professor at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA); State University of Bahia (UNEB). Researcher and Consultant: Environmental Assessment; Soils, Land Degradation and Desertification; Climate Change, Vulnerability and Adaptation to Climate Change; Tropical River Dynamics Management and Conservation of River Basins; Participatory Environmental Planning.
