About Isaac's Work

Prof Isaac Oluwatayo is an Agricultural/Development Economist with teaching and research experience in development policy, welfare analysis (poverty and food security/sovereignty issues), economics of climate change and smallholder agriculture, postharvest losses, social protection and financial inclusion issues. He currently works as a full professor in the department of agricultural economics and agribusiness, University of Venda, South Africa. Isaac is a well-travelled person and awardee of a number of grants/fellowships (academic and research) both locally and internationally. He has published over 100 articles on a number of topical issues such as climate change, poverty, food security, vulnerability, postharvest losses (value chain anlysis) , agricultural marketing and agribusiness. He is a consultant, an editor and member of editorial board of journals.
