About Irina Safitri's Work
Irina is an Assistant. Professor at the Urban and Regional (subnational) Planning Department, Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design, International Islamic University Malaysia.
With a background in master and doctorate in environmental management, she works as a lecturer in sustainability science and education for sustainable development, ESD. Begin her career in the Regional (subnational) and economic development consultant, for the past more than ten years her work focuses on environment sustainability, climate change, education for sustainable development and resources management, planning and policy.
She has experience of international cooperation and networking as a member of several strategic working groups, and she has been engaged in policy related work on many levels.
Her training and work experience include sustainability educational leadership, environmental planning and management, production of teaching materials, program and module design and innovative solution for sustainability issues.
Transformative and experiential learning, worldview of sustainable development, climate change adaptation, mitigation and governance, sustainability in higher education an intersection of natural and social sciences are her most current interests.
