About Irem's Work

Dr. İrem Daloğlu Çetinkaya conducts research on environmental sciences, natural resources, and climate change. Her recent work focuses on the management of water resources and the impact of agricultural policies on water resources and quality. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Environmental Sciences Institute of Boğaziçi University, Dr. Daloğlu Çetinkaya completed her undergraduate studies at the Middle East Technical University, Ankara in 2005, her master's degree at Northeastern University in Boston, USA, with a Fulbright scholarship in 2008, and received her doctoral degree in Environmental and Sustainability Sciences from the University of Michigan in 2013. Before joining Boğaziçi University's Environmental Sciences Institute in 2015, she worked as a research assistant at the University of Michigan. She conducts research on modeling the effects of climate change on ecosystems and teaches courses on climate change and environmental policies. Her work has been published in various leading scientific journals, including PNAS, Ecology and Society, Global Environmental Change, Environmental Science and Technology, and Agricultural Systems.
