Ioana Bouvier

Ioana Bouvier is a geographer and remote sensing scientist with experience in applying spatial analysis and modelling for sustainable development, land systems analysis, food security, and ecosystem monitoring. Ioana obtained a bachelor’s degree in Geography and Environmental Sciences from the University of Bucharest, Romania, and a master’s degree in Geoinformation Sciences and Remote Sensing from Clark University, Massachusetts, USA. Ioana holds a doctoral degree in Earth Systems and Geoinformation Sciences from George Mason University, Virginia, USA. Ioana has over 15 years of experience in sustainable development and spatial data science, with field experience in Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean region.
