About Hakim's Work

I'm a geographer and environmental scientist specializing in landscape dynamics and human-environment interactions across a range of spatial scales. My research focuses on understanding the drivers and consequences of land-use change, with the goal of linking scientific knowledge to practical policy for sustainable landscape management. I take an interdisciplinary approach, combining ecosystem remote sensing, large-scale spatial analysis, machine learning, and field-based monitoring to identify and interpret complex patterns of environmental change.
