Dmitriy Marinskikh

Associated Professor at the Department of Physical Geography and Landscape Ecology, Institute of Earth Sciences, University of Tyumen. Candidate of Science (PhD) - 2003. Head of Master Program "Landscape Planning". Main research streams include sustainable planning for urbanPeri-urban and oil-and-gas industrial areas, GIS applications for urban and landscape planning, Environmental Impact (Strategic) Assessment, landscape mapping, analysis and synthesis, multifunctional land use and landscape, Landscape Ecology. He is currently working on assessment of the role urbanized and non-urbanized areas in providing Ecosystem Services and on assessment of the role of impact oil-and-gas industry on providing Ecosystem Services within context of traditional land use of indigenous peoples in the Arctic. He has participated in national projects and urban/Regional (subnational)/environmental plans (included Arctic) as coordinator and main researcher. He offers lectures in university courses since 1999.
