About Dennis's Work
Dennis Avilés Irahola is Bolivian and holds a PhD in Development Studies from the University of Bonn in Germany. She has extensive experience as a consultant on gender, agriculture and environmental issues within development organisations in countries across various regions, particularly in Latin America. For six years, she was a Senior Researcher at the Development Research Centre at the University of Bonn, where she worked on issues relating to environmental conflicts, gender and agroecology; and, since 2025, she has been an Associate Researcher at the Institute for Socio-Economic Research at the Bolivian Catholic University.
