About Daye's Work
I am Andrew Daye Zhai, currently a Ph.D. student in Environmental Policy (Economics track) at the Nicholas School of the Environment and Sanford School of Public Policy, Duke University. I strive to monetize the social costs (returns) of biodiversity losses (gains), particularly how ecological disturbances, such as wildlife diseases and biological invasions, affect human well-being through trophic cascades, by integrating microeconomic theory, advanced econometric and geospatial techniques, and innovative datasets.
