Daniel Henn

Dr. Daniel Henn is a Postdoctoral Researcher in land use modelling at the University of Galway. He holds a BSc in Earth sciences from the University of Mainz, MSc in Soil & Water Management from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Uppsala, and a PhD in Sustainable Agri-Food Systems from the University of Limerick. As part of the FORESIGHT project, Daniel’s research focuses on circular agri-food systems and future-oriented land use configurations.
Daniel Henn's research examines food production systems and pathways to improve their sustainability from farm to global scale. He is particularly interested in the environmental and land use implications of food systems, using holistic and future-oriented thinking that considers all aspects of resource efficiency, circularity, and sustainability. His work draws on a range of modelling methods, including life cycle assessment (LCA) and integrated assessment modelling, supported by Python-based analysis.
